UN reports devastating impact of Israeli strikes and evacuations on Gaza health system

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that the ongoing Israeli attacks, frequent evacuation orders, and forced displacements have severely impacted the already struggling health system in Gaza.

Thousands more Palestinians have been displaced this week in Gaza due to new Israeli military evacuation orders, hindering access to essential healthcare services for those with chronic diseases and putting immense strain on hospitals.

The Israeli military has confirmed bombing multiple targets in Gaza, resulting in at least 30 reported fatalities. UNRWA also witnessed thousands fleeing Khan Yunis, leaving traumatized children behind.

OCHA stated that Gazans fleeing due to evacuation orders are running for their lives, with families seeking shelter in overcrowded areas. Israel’s actions have impacted a significant portion of the “humanitarian zone” near Khan Yunis.

Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza persists, with reports of increased casualties and ongoing bombings in various areas. The death toll continues to rise, highlighting the dire humanitarian crisis in the region.
