Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Washington DC as President Joe Biden met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, denouncing Israel’s military assault on Gaza. Chanting for Gaza’s freedom and calling for Netanyahu’s arrest as a war criminal, the protesters made their voices heard.

Netanyahu’s Speech and Democratic Boycott

During his address to Congress, Netanyahu faced criticism for denying responsibility for Gaza’s suffering. Democratic Representative Rashida Tlaib called him a war criminal, adding to the dissent. The Israeli leader also targeted anti-Israel demonstrators, sparking a response from the White House.

With over 39,000 casualties in Gaza and widespread condemnation of Israel’s actions, the protests in Washington DC reflect a global sentiment against the ongoing conflict.
