North Korea continues to launch balloons filled with trash towards South Korea in a series of provocations. The regime is now conducting lectures to justify and promote these actions among its citizens.

Lectures held at various factories near the Chinese border emphasize dumping garbage in Seoul as a way to counter the South. The rhetoric used in the lectures directly blames South Korea for the aggressive actions.

Echoes of Kim Jong Un’s anti-South rhetoric

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s past statements about the South being a puppet of the U.S. align with the current narrative surrounding the trash balloon launches. The regime aims to instill anti-South sentiments in its population through these lectures.

Controlling the narrative in the border regions

Authorities have refrained from publicizing the trash balloon launches in mainstream media but use targeted lectures to sway opinions in border regions. The lectures aim to maintain ideological control and reinforce the legitimacy of their actions.

Sources suggest that the regime fears outside influence from China and strives to keep the population aligned with their anti-South propaganda.
