Bringing Hope and Education to Gaza’s Children During War
During the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Nour Nassar, a 24-year-old law graduate, decided to take action to help children affected by the war. She established the Schools Without Borders project, providing displaced children with essential Arabic, English, and math lessons in makeshift classrooms. Despite facing numerous challenges, including limited resources and the blockade on Gaza, Nassar and her team have managed to create a safe space for children to learn and play.
With over 39,000 Palestinians killed in the conflict, including more than 7,550 schoolchildren, the need for education in Gaza has never been greater. Schools have been destroyed, leaving many students without access to formal education. The Schools Without Borders project aims to bridge this gap and prepare children for a brighter future.
Nassar’s efforts exemplify the resilience and determination of the Gazan community, showing that even in the face of adversity, the light of education can continue to shine. Through her project, Nassar is not only teaching children essential skills but also providing them with hope for a better tomorrow.
