Gaza Health System at Risk as Israeli Strikes Persist: UNRWA

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that tens of thousands of Palestinians have been displaced due to new evacuation orders from the Israeli military. The situation in Gaza is dire, with people unable to access essential healthcare services and hospitals overwhelmed.

The Israeli military has bombed numerous targets in Gaza, leading to at least 30 fatalities in the past 24 hours. UNRWA has witnessed thousands of people fleeing westward, especially in Khan Yunis, with children deeply affected by the ongoing hostilities.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that Gazans are running for their lives from their shelters and homes. The Israeli evacuation orders have significantly reduced the “humanitarian zone” in Al Mawasi, causing overcrowding and limited services in other areas.

With nearly 83% of the Gaza Strip under evacuation orders, the situation remains critical. The Israeli military’s ground operation has led to more casualties and injuries, adding to the already devastating toll of the genocidal war.
