The Croatian government allocated 6.5 million euros for various programs and projects supporting the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This funding will benefit educational, scientific, cultural, health, agricultural, and other fields of interest. Additionally, 59,000 euros will go towards the “Meetings of the Croatian Diaspora” project, aimed at strengthening ties with Croats living outside Croatia.
Zvonko Milas, state secretary of the Central Office for Croats outside Croatia, highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting projects that facilitate the return and sustainable living of Croats. The allocated funds will cover projects in education, science, culture, health, agriculture, and other areas for the year 2024.
The upcoming eighth “Meetings of the Croatian Diaspora” will take place in Brazil, marking the 100th Croatian immigration to the country. The government also recognized the strategic importance of projects by the Banja Luka Diocese and the “Memorial Center of the Peace Cemetery at Bilam” and provided funding accordingly.
