Bangladesh’s prime minister Sheikh Hasina is facing criticism for her response to the damage caused during a protest against her government that resulted in over 150 deaths. Social media users lambasted her for appearing indifferent to the victims, despite being seen in tears while visiting a vandalized metro station in Mirpur. The protesters were demonstrating against job quotas, with police using force to disperse the crowds.
