Approval for Transforming Brindavan Gardens into Disney-inspired Park

The Karnataka cabinet has approved a plan to turn the Brindavan Gardens at the Krishnaraja Sagar Dam into a Disneyland-like amusement park. Estimated at Rs 2,663 crore, the project will be implemented through a PPP model, with a target completion time of four-and-a-half years across three phases.

The transformation aims to increase the tourist appeal of Brindavan Gardens and establish it as a world-class attraction. The amusement park, once completed, will cover 198 acres and is expected to attract an average of 20,000 visitors daily, with a 7% annual growth projection.

The park will offer a range of activities such as boating, botanical gardens, a jungle boat ride, amphitheater, laser fountain show, doll museum, water park, penguin zoo, roller coaster, and more. The government envisions Brindavan Gardens becoming a prominent tourist hotspot upon the project’s completion.
