Apple Slashes iPhone Prices in India After Import Duty Reduction
In a move to pass on the benefits of reduced import duty on mobile phones by the government, Apple has decided to cut the prices of various iPhone models in India.
The price reduction ranges from Rs 300 to Rs 6,000, with the imported iPhone Pro models seeing a significant decrease in prices by Rs 5,100-6,000.
For example, the iPhone Pro model with 128 GB storage will now be available for Rs 1,29,800, marking a 3.7% reduction. The entry-level iPhone Pro Max with 256 GB storage will now cost Rs 1,54,000, down about 10%.
Furthermore, the Made-in-India iPhones such as 13, 14, and 15, have also seen price cuts by Rs 300, while the iPhone SE will be cheaper by Rs 2,300, making it available for Rs 47,600.
These price revisions come shortly after the government’s proposal to reduce import duty from 20% to 15% on mobile phones and chargers.
