Altun stressed the need to stop Israel’s “unspeakable crimes” in Palestine and emphasized the importance of conditioning aid on human rights, which he believes has failed so far. He urged US politicians to reconsider their support for Netanyahu’s government and stand for a just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Altun emphasized Turkey’s commitment to a two-state solution with a sovereign Palestine and called for opposition to Netanyahu’s genocidal policies. He called for a reckoning in US politics and hoped that Netanyahu’s recent speech would awaken Americans who strive for peace.
