Pakistan Welcomes Unity Declaration Among Palestinian Factions
Pakistan expressed its support for the ‘Declaration of Unity’ signed by Palestinian political factions in Beijing, commending China’s role in facilitating negotiations. The Foreign Office spokesperson emphasized the importance of unity among Palestinians in the face of ongoing war crimes in Gaza by Israeli forces.
Pakistan called on the international community to intervene and end the aggression in Gaza, reiterating its support for the self-determination and rights of the Palestinian people. Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Iran for the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian, enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Furthermore, Foreign Secretary Syrus Sajjad Qazi will attend the ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting in Laos, discussing political and security issues. Pakistan also welcomed Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman’s visit, focusing on increasing cooperation in various areas.
Lastly, Secretary General Noziri’s farewell visit to Pakistan was highlighted, along with upcoming events like the Regional Conference on Export Control Programme. Pakistan also addressed the issue of attacks on its consulates and clarified its stance on aid from the US.
