Moscow Open to Negotiations with Kyiv and Zelensky
Moscow is willing to engage in negotiations with Kyiv, even under President Zelensky, under certain conditions, according to Kremlin official spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. Despite some initial hurdles such as questions about Zelensky’s legitimacy and his decree banning negotiations with Russia, Moscow remains open to discussing potential peace talks.

“Different options are possible for achieving our goals through negotiations,” Peskov stated, emphasizing the importance of clarifying issues surrounding Zelensky’s presidency and the ban on negotiations.
Putin has also raised concerns about Zelensky’s legitimacy, highlighting the need for critical documents to be signed with representatives of legitimate authorities. Despite differing opinions, Moscow and Kyiv may still have room for dialogue to work towards a resolution.
