Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has pledged to retaliate after a deadly drone attack in Tel Aviv, claimed by Yemen’s Houthi group, resulted in the death of a civilian on Friday.
Gallant announced plans to enhance air defense systems in response to the attack, stating that Israel’s security forces will “settle the score” with those who attempt to harm the nation. The Houthi military spokesperson revealed that the strike was conducted using a new drone model capable of evading interception systems.
Surprisingly, no air raid sirens were activated during the attack, prompting an investigation into why Israel’s defense systems failed to intercept the drone. The Israel Defense Forces are looking into the matter.
The incident underscores rising tensions in the region and Israel’s determination to protect its citizens from external threats.
