Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk is set to attend meetings in Brazil with finance ministers and central bank governors of the Group of 20 countries on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

This marks Kouchouk’s first international engagement since assuming the role of Finance Minister.

The Finance Ministry emphasized Kouchouk’s commitment to pursuing a balanced economic strategy amidst global, regional, and local challenges, aligning with Egyptian priorities moving forward.

Kouchouk will present Egypt’s strategies for supporting global economic growth, green transitions, sustainable finance, global financial reform, and international taxation during the meetings.

Despite global and regional tensions impacting the Egyptian economy, Kouchouk notes that Egypt is adapting to these challenging conditions.
