Exciting news from Amman! The National Council for Family Affairs recently hosted a prestigious ceremony to award accreditation certificates for the nursery quality system in Jordan as part of the early childhood development project. This event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance early childhood education and care in the country.
During the ceremony, Muhammad Miqdadi, Secretary-General of the Council, emphasized the importance of investing in childhood as a way to secure the nation’s future. The quality system for nurseries is a crucial component of this vision and reflects the commitment to providing the best possible services for children across Jordan.
The strategic partnership with the International Relief Committee has already made a positive impact on the care sector, with training and qualification programs benefiting over 265 young women in early childhood skills. The goal is to reach as many nurseries as possible, including private, institutional, public, and home-based facilities, to ensure the well-being of approximately 37,000 to 40,000 children.
By focusing on quality determination and accreditation, the Council aims to guide nurseries towards developmental goals and improve children’s skills while enhancing the capabilities of nursery workers. This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to supporting early childhood development in Jordan and providing children with safe and healthy environments to grow and thrive.
