The Defense Attaché at the Chinese Embassy in Damascus, Brigadier General Ha Yongliang, reiterated China’s unwavering support for the Syrian army and people in safeguarding national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. At a ceremony marking the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, General Ha Yongliang expressed readiness to elevate military cooperation between the two nations to new heights.
Celebrating the historic ties between the Chinese and Syrian armies, General Ha Yongliang commended Syria’s efforts in upholding peace and stability. In response, Defense Minister Gen. Ali Mahmoud Abbas lauded China’s steadfast solidarity during Syria’s tumultuous times, including the recent pandemic and natural disasters.
Minister Abbas extended congratulations to China on its army’s anniversary, a date that coincides with the founding of the Syrian Arab Army. He emphasized the enduring bond between the two countries, highlighting their mutual support and friendship.
The collaboration between China and Syria demonstrates a strong alliance rooted in shared values and a commitment to upholding peace and security on a global scale.
