Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) successfully neutralized a high-ranking member of the PKK/KCK terror group known as the “Sulaymaniyah official” in northern Iraq. The operation targeted Omer Firat, also known as Tolhildan, along with two Iranian nationals linked to the group.
The terrorists were eliminated through an air operation conducted by MIT, marking a significant blow to the PKK/KCK in the region. Turkish security sources revealed that PKK/KCK members had sought refuge in Sulaymaniyah as a perceived safe zone, but the recent operation has shattered that illusion.
In a separate incident, Turkish security forces also neutralized three PKK/YPG terrorists in the Euphrates Shield operation zone. The National Defense Ministry confirmed the successful operation, further demonstrating Turkey’s commitment to combating terrorism both domestically and abroad.
