Pakistani and Malaysian Prime Ministers Praise Palestinian Unity Agreement
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim both welcomed the reconciliation pact among Palestinian factions to form an interim unity government. Sharif commended China for securing this significant diplomatic success, expressing hope for lasting peace in the region.
Sharif called for global solidarity with Palestinians and urged Israel to cease its destructive actions in Gaza. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and advocated for a two-state solution with pre-1967 borders and Al Quds as the capital.
Similarly, Ibrahim praised the unity between Fatah and Hamas, emphasizing the importance of international recognition for the State of Palestine. He urged governments worldwide to support the declaration of unity and halt Israel’s aggressive behavior.
The Palestinian factions reached a reconciliation agreement in Beijing, marking a crucial step towards ending their political division since 2007. Malaysia and Pakistan are committed to supporting Palestinian rights and freedom through unity and justice.
