In a recent cabinet meeting, the intelligence minister revealed that Iranian forces have successfully captured 20 terrorists in 12 different operations. These individuals had illegally crossed the border, with 12 of them planning terrorist attacks within Iran itself. Two of the arrested individuals were identified as ringleaders of Daesh and Takfiri groups, affiliated with non-neighboring countries.
One notable arrest included a senior member of Daesh known as ‘Mohammad Zaker’ or “Ramesh”, along with two associates. Their plan was to carry out suicide operations during Eid al-Fitr in Iran. This successful operation highlights Iran’s commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
The intelligence minister’s announcement serves as a reminder of the ongoing threats posed by extremist groups, and the importance of vigilance and decisive action in thwarting their plans. Iran’s continuous efforts in this regard indicate a strong stance against terrorism, sending a clear message that such acts will not be tolerated within its borders.\
