Iran Calls in German Diplomat over Ban on Hamburg Islamic Centers – Political Development

The German Police raid on 53 properties, including the prominent mosque in Hamburg, has led to tensions between Germany and Iran. Hans-Udo Muzel was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, where Iran strongly protested against what they deemed as a violation of human rights.

The Iranian diplomat highlighted the valuable services provided by Islamic centers in Germany, including promoting dialogue and religious toleration. They warned Germany about sponsoring notorious terrorists and propagating violence and extremism.

Muzel, on the other hand, promised to convey Iran’s message to the German government immediately. German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser announced the ban on the Islamic Center Hamburg for allegedly propagating extremism.

With the Blue Mosque being searched by police, tensions between the two countries continue to rise. The situation serves as an example of countering freedom of thought and speech, promoting violence and extremism.
