Aussie athletes cautioned on travel after Paris attacks

Australia’s athletes are being urged to prioritize their safety following recent incidents, including the suspected rape of an Australian tourist in Paris and an attack on TV broadcast staff at the Olympic Games. The Australian Olympic team chef de mission, Anna Meares, emphasized the importance of safety measures such as using rideshare services, traveling in groups, and sticking to well-lit paths. These reminders come after the Australian BMX team van was broken into in Brussels en route to Paris 2024.
