Jaadani Tribe in Abyan Prepares Million-Man March to Free Abducted Son

The Jaadani tribe in Abyan province is planning a “million-man-march” to demand the release of their abducted son, Ali Ashal Al-Jaadanim, who has been held by factions of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) since June last year.

Despite efforts from mediators, Ali Ashal’s fate remains unknown, prompting the tribe to take action. The preparatory committee has been formed, chaired by Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Jabran, to organize the protest, but the date is yet to be determined.

The planned demonstration is a response to the lack of progress in freeing Ali Ashal and other abducted individuals. Abyan tribes have faced challenges in uncovering the truth behind the disappearances of their leaders, escalating tensions with STC factions in the region.

This move is seen as a bold and necessary step to pressure for answers and justice.
