Muscat Encouraging Exports and Imports Workshop
A recent workshop in Muscat aimed to boost exports and imports through Omani ports, attracting investments and enhancing trade activities. Organised by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, in collaboration with various key entities, the event sought to develop a unified vision for targeting new global markets.
Participants discussed challenges, simplified procedures, and aimed to improve the efficiency of the import and export system. The workshop focused on overcoming obstacles faced by Omani exports and imports, setting targets for the future, and reviewing relevant policies.
Specialised clinics allowed for discussion between government agencies and companies to align objectives and identify challenges. The goal of these workshops and clinics is to increase private investments, attract national talent to the logistics sector, and improve Oman’s global logistics performance by 2025.
