UN Team Visits Hodeida Port Targeted by Israeli Aggression
A team from the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA) visited the service facilities targeted by Israeli airstrikes on the Hodeida port. The team, accompanied by local leaders, assessed the damage inflicted on the port, including the destruction of gantry cranes and fuel facilities.
Adnan Al-Jurmouzi, General Manager of the Oil Company Branch in Hodeida, joined the team in reviewing the extent of the damage. Local leaders emphasized the seriousness of the crime and its humanitarian effects, urging the UN to uphold standards to keep ports free of military presence.
Port officials called on the UN to denounce the Israeli attack and provide a detailed report on the damage and its impact on the Yemeni people. Despite the visit, the UN has not issued any statement on the Israeli aggression or its consequences.
It is crucial for the UN to fulfill its responsibilities in addressing the severe damage to essential facilities in Hodeida, which serve millions of Yemenis.
Stay tuned for updates on the outcomes of the UN mission’s visit and the actions taken to support Hodeida’s recovery.
