Trump donated a total of $6,000 to Harris’ campaign during her time as California’s attorney general, with his first donation of $5,000 coming in September 2011.
Despite Trump’s donations, his spokesperson Steven Cheung dismissed them as part of Trump’s strategy to navigate the world of politics. Interestingly, his donations coincided with a time when Trump was facing a class-action lawsuit regarding Trump University, a matter that Harris’ office did not take action on.
