U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned following the assassination attempt on former President Trump.
Cheatle’s resignation came after testifying before the House Oversight Committee in light of Thomas Crooks’ attempt on Trump’s life.

In a close call, Trump narrowly avoided a bullet shot by Crooks during a rally, resulting in one death and two injuries.
