Female students allegedly raped by robbers at Tai Solarin University of Education
Two first-year female students at Tai Solarin University of Education in Ogun State were reportedly raped by suspected robbers in their apartment on Monday. The incident occurred around 12:30 am when armed robbers forcibly entered the students’ residence, stealing their belongings and then taking them to an uncompleted building where they were assaulted.
The State Police Command confirmed the incident, noting that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects. The survivors have been taken to the school clinic for treatment. The spokesperson for the police assured that every effort is being made to bring the perpetrators to justice.
This tragic event highlights the importance of safety measures on campus and the need for increased security to protect students. It is a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by women and the urgent need for society to address issues of violence against women.
