Security forces in Pakistan successfully prevented a terrorist infiltration attempt on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, eliminating three terrorists in the process. According to the ISPR statement, on the night of 21-22 July 2024, security forces detected the movement of three terrorists trying to cross the border in Dir District.
The infiltrators were surrounded, engaged, and ultimately neutralized after an intense exchange of fire. Pakistan has consistently urged the Interim Afghan Government to enhance border management to prevent the use of Afghan soil by terrorists targeting Pakistan.
