Additionally, drones have been deployed to assist in disaster response, such as in restoring communication base stations during heavy flooding in Hunan. China has also implemented a new weather radar system, ROSE3.0, to improve severe weather warnings and rainfall monitoring. As extreme weather events become more frequent, Weng stresses the need for improved infrastructure to cope with disasters, urging Hong Kong to enhance its early warning systems.
