합동참모본부(합참)는 24일 “북한이 대남 쓰레기 풍선(추정)을 또다시 부양하고 있다. 현재 풍향이 서풍계열로 대남 쓰레기 풍선은 경기북부 지역으로 이동하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
합참은 “국민들께서는 적재물 낙하에 주의하고, 떨어진 풍선을 발견하면 만지지 말고 가까운 군부대나 경찰에 신고해달라”고 당부했다.

North Korea Sending Trash Balloons to South Korea
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) reported that North Korea is once again sending trash balloons towards the South, with the balloons currently moving towards the northern Gyeonggi area due to winds blowing in that direction.
The JCS urged citizens to be cautious of falling debris and to report any discovered balloons to nearby military or police authorities. This action by North Korea has raised concerns about potential provocations and tensions between the two Koreas.
