Amman – Deputy Prime Minister Safadi Condemns Israeli Attack on UNRWA Convoy
In a recent statement, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi strongly criticized the Israeli attack on a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) humanitarian convoy in Gaza, labeling it a war crime.
Safadi emphasized the need to protect UNRWA and other humanitarian agencies from further aggression by Israeli occupation forces, referring to the incident as a tragic violation of international law.
The attack occurred on Sunday, with Israeli forces targeting the UNRWA convoy en route to Gaza City, showcasing a disregard for humanitarian efforts in the region. Safadi’s words highlight the urgent need for a collective effort to uphold the principles of international law and protect vulnerable populations in conflict zones like Gaza.
