Poland is considering suspending the transportation of goods through Belarus if relations between the countries do not “normalize,” Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Szejna said. The tension has escalated due to Belarus pushing migrants into Poland and the invasion of Ukraine.
Szejna listed conditions for Belarus to normalize relations, including ending hybrid attacks and releasing imprisoned Poles. If not met, Poland may stop transporting goods through Belarus. Belarus, openly cooperating with Russia, poses challenges for Poland.
Poland, along with Baltic states, urged the EU to build a defense line against Russia and Belarus. Additionally, China and Belarus held joint military exercises. The extradition of a migrant who killed a Polish guard remains a key condition for restoring relations.
