Pakistan’s IT sector experiences substantial growth

The Information Technology sector in Pakistan is experiencing remarkable growth with the help of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The government has allocated seventy-nine billion rupees this year towards the IT sector, with nineteen billion for IT parks in Islamabad and Karachi and twenty-two billion for the Pakistan Software Export Board.

Start-ups are flourishing under SIFC’s support, expanding their presence globally.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif advocates for ‘mega incentives’ for IT sector in the upcoming Budget 2023-24.

He aims to boost IT exports, introducing a fixed tax regime and a youth training program in the sector.
