In a recent development, posters promoting the Maharashtra government’s ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme were missing the word ‘mukhyamantri,’ sparking some controversy. The scheme, announced by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, aims to provide monthly financial aid of Rs 1,500 to women with a family income of less than 2.5 lakh.
During Pawar’s birthday celebrations and tour of various assembly segments, the scheme was highlighted as ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin’ without the mention of ‘mukhyamantri.’ NCP spokesperson Suraj Chavan clarified that the name on the banners is as per the scheme title, and there is no political agenda behind the omission.
Pawar, who actively participated in helping women fill out forms for the scheme, emphasized his dedication to improving the lives of women in Maharashtra. He expressed confidence in the budget presented by the state government and its positive impact on the living standards of the people.
This incident has stirred discussions about the branding and communication surrounding government schemes, with the focus shifting towards effective implementation and outreach.
