The Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Abdel Meguid Sakr, held a meeting with troops from the Northern Military Zone and the Navy, accompanied by Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Ahmed Khalifa on Sunday, 21/7/2024. The troops expressed their commitment to enhancing skills and readiness under the leadership of Major-General Hisham Hosny.

General Sakr conveyed President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi’s message, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and preparedness to protect Egypt’s borders. He described the Armed Forces as the nation’s defense against any threats to its security.

During the visit, General Sakr inspected the Navy troops and received updates on new vessels inducted into the fleet. Commander of the Naval Force, Major-General Ashraf Atwa, provided insights on the fleet’s expansion and local manufacturing initiatives.
