Bangladesh arrests 500, criticized for handling protests

Bangladesh has been rocked by violent student protests resulting in the deaths of at least 163 people, leading to the arrest of over 500 individuals, including opposition leaders. The unrest began as a response to politicized admission quotas for government jobs, escalating into nationwide clashes.
