Ukrainian air defense successfully shot down 35 out of 39 attack drones launched by Russia on July 21. Along with drones, Russia also launched ballistic and cruise missiles, but Ukraine’s defense mechanisms prevented some from reaching their targets. Despite the attacks in 10 different regions, there were no reported casualties.
Russian forces have been increasingly targeting civilian areas in Ukraine, causing destruction and damage to critical infrastructure. The recent attacks included missiles and drones launched from multiple locations across Russia. The capital city of Kyiv was a key target, but all drones were intercepted outside the city.
One missile did strike critical infrastructure in Sumy Oblast, but casualties remain unreported. Additional drones were downed in various regions bordering Russia. The ongoing attacks highlight the urgent need for support and solidarity in Ukraine’s fight for independence.
