In Ibra, the number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) has reached 9,912, with 1,783 benefiting from the Riyada card. These businesses span across various industries such as tourism, agriculture, mining, and technology, showcasing the diverse entrepreneurial landscape in the region.

Under the leadership of Salem bin Ali al Hajri, Director of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Department in North Sharqiyah, support has been extended to 995 beneficiaries through the provision of machinery, equipment, raw materials, and site refurbishments over the past year.

The Governorate of North Sharqiyah stands out for its thriving sectors, with tourism, agriculture, technology, and mining attracting young entrepreneurs eager to highlight the region’s potential. The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) has been instrumental in driving growth through consulting, financing, and training initiatives, including funding five projects for Entrepreneur Readiness Programme graduates.

Moreover, ASMED, in collaboration with government entities, has opened up investment opportunities for SMEs, fostering a supportive ecosystem for business expansion and development. With a focus on enhancing SME capabilities, including securing tenders and contracts, ASMED is paving the way for sustainable growth in North Sharqiyah.
