Girls Fall Ill at Government Hostel in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh
Recently, over 40 girls residing at a government hostel in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh, fell ill and had to be hospitalized. Out of the 40 girls, 10 were admitted to the hospital while the rest were discharged after receiving initial treatment, according to a health official.
The incident occurred at Kasturba Kanya Ashram in Niwali, with girls reporting symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. Five girls had to be transferred to the district hospital for further evaluation. Officials are currently awaiting medical reports to determine the cause of the illness.
In response to the situation, samples of water and food from the hostel have been gathered for testing to identify any potential contaminants.
It is crucial for authorities to promptly investigate and address the root cause of the girls’ illness to prevent similar incidents in the future.
