In a recent development, the JUI-F and PTI have found themselves at odds over the dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and resigning from other assemblies in a bid to prompt new elections. JUI-F claimed that PTI was ready to dissolve the KP Assembly for fair elections, but PTI quickly denied this, stating that no such action is currently being considered.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan clarified that discussions about resignations were not part of recent meetings with JUI-F. However, JUI-F claimed that a committee has been formed to negotiate with PTI, signaling a potential reconciliation between the two parties.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI-F expressed the need for fresh elections for a representative government, emphasizing the importance of impartiality and transparency. He called for the establishment to step away from influencing elections and warned against further disintegration if policies are not reconsidered.
Looking ahead, JUI-F announced a series of events, including a nationwide Black Day to protest India’s actions in Kashmir and various conventions across the country in August.
