Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party revealed that their senior global media coordinator was forcefully taken in the early hours of Saturday. The family of Ahmed Janjua, Khan’s International Media Manager, blames law enforcement and intelligence agencies for his disappearance.

Janjua’s wife filed a petition at the Islamabad High Court seeking his safe return, claiming his connection to PTI led to his abduction. No government or police statements have been made on the incident. PTI sources report ten members of the social media team have disappeared.

PTI’s social media team, recognized as one of Asia’s most influential, faces challenges amid increased international exposure. The party’s social media account boasts 10.1 million followers, aiding in shedding light on Pakistan’s issues globally.

PTI leaders are vehement in opposing the violation of human rights and press freedom, assuring legal assistance for the abducted team members. The crackdown on PTI continues following Imran Khan’s detention on corruption charges, causing turmoil within the party.
