Assocham predicts focus on affordable housing, infra growth and manufacturing boost in Union Budget 2024

As the Union Budget approaches, the focus is on green mobility, affordable housing, and boosting manufacturing and consumption, according to an Assocham-Primus paper. The upcoming budget under the Modi 3.0 government aims to make India a developed nation by 2047, with attention to key areas and priorities.

The budget is expected to address immediate economic needs while laying a roadmap for long-term growth. Emphasis on green fuel and sustainable infrastructure development is crucial for the economy’s future. The paper also highlights the importance of affordable housing and boosting consumer demand.

To achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat, a shift from agriculture to manufacturing is essential for job creation. Supporting core manufacturing sectors like engineering, MSMEs, EVs, electronics, and aircrafts, while advancing towards net-zero energy, will be critical.
