The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a commission to investigate the violent outbreak at a peace rally in Bannu, where one person died and 22 were injured. KP government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif announced the formation of a commission to conduct an impartial investigation and take legal action accordingly.
Residents staged a sit-in demanding a thorough investigation into the incident and complained about the shutdown of communication networks after the violence. The attack in Bannu was attributed to a militant group operating from Afghanistan, leading to strained relations between Pakistan and its neighbor.
Efforts to ease tensions between the two countries have been made, with hopes of developing positive relations for peace and security.
