Israeli Strikes Continue to Claim Lives in Gaza

The Israeli military has maintained its assault on Gaza, resulting in the deaths of dozens, including a local journalist, as the Palestinian death toll in the besieged territory nears 39,000.

Over the weekend, Israeli strikes hit various parts of Gaza, with the Palestinian Civil Defence reporting 12 fatalities in the Nuseirat refugee camp and six more in the Bureij camp. The attacks also targeted Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of 10 individuals.

Tragically, a commercial building sheltering displaced persons was bombarded, leading to six deaths and several people still missing. In another heartbreaking incident, journalist Muhammad Abu Jasser, along with his family, lost their lives due to Israeli shelling in Jabalia.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported 37 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 38,919. The ongoing Israeli blockade has exacerbated a hunger crisis and health concerns in the region.

As tensions rise, Hamas accused Israel of escalating attacks in response to recent legal decisions regarding the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory. The UN calls for swift action to halt the violence and protect civilians.

With no end in sight to the conflict, pressure mounts for a ceasefire as both sides continue to suffer losses.
