President Cyril Ramaphosa was recently criticized by the official leader of the opposition in parliament, Dr John Hlophe, for being a “sophisticated liar” who “knows no bounds when it comes to lying.” Hlophe accused the president of making false promises and not delivering on them.
Hlophe rejected Ramaphosa’s claims of creating 2-million jobs and criticized the president’s handling of the government. He stated that the President’s speech was prepared by the DA, which was evident from the applause of white South Africans.
Other opposition leaders, such as ATM leader Vuyo Zungula and Action SA’s Herman Mashaba, echoed similar sentiments, expressing disappointment in Ramaphosa’s repeated promises that have not translated into tangible improvements for citizens.
The leaders vowed to hold the government accountable and provide alternative solutions to the country’s challenges. They emphasized the importance of implementation, delivery, and accountability in governance.
