Human error prevents IDF from shooting down drone, says report

Israeli Military Admits Drone Explosion in Tel Aviv

The Israeli military recently acknowledged a drone explosion in Tel Aviv, describing it as a “bad incident that should not have happened.” The Air Force has taken full responsibility for the incident, emphasizing its role as the nation’s aerial defender.

According to a preliminary investigation, the drone strike occurred at 3:12 a.m. Although the military’s detection systems spotted the drone during part of its flight path, it was not shot down due to human error.

The IDF is actively investigating potential drone launch origins and has not ruled out various possibilities, despite the Houthis claiming responsibility for the attack. Additionally, the military intercepted another target approaching Israel from the east overnight.

The unfortunate incident resulted in the death of a man in his 50s and ten others sustaining minor injuries. The investigation continues as the IDF seeks to understand the full scope of the situation and prevent future occurrences.

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai expressed the city’s readiness for any further developments, urging the public to follow instructions and remain vigilant in light of the recent drone attack.
