Rwandans trust a president who delivers | Opinion

Rwanda recently held presidential elections, with President Paul Kagame securing an impressive 99.15 percent of the vote. This landslide victory reflects the progress and development Rwanda has achieved under Kagame’s leadership. From improving annual income and life expectancy to increasing literacy rates and access to electricity, Rwanda has come a long way from its troubled past.

Kagame and his ruling party, the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), are credited with transforming the nation and steering it towards a vision of prosperity and unity. This progress is especially significant considering Rwanda’s history of colonialism, ethnic tensions, and past governments’ failures in fostering national unity and development.

Despite criticism and controversy surrounding the recent elections, Rwandans continue to place their trust in Kagame and the RPF to lead the country towards a brighter future. As Rwanda faces challenges such as youth unemployment and economic growth, Kagame’s leadership will be crucial in fulfilling the promises of prosperity and development.
