Russian Foreign Minister Condemns Israel’s Actions in Gaza

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on Wednesday that Israel’s war against Gaza amounts to “collective punishment,” as the death toll in the besieged Strip nears 40,000.

Sergey Lavrov, speaking at the UN headquarters, criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza, describing them as “collective punishment” of the Palestinian population. The ongoing conflict has left Gaza in ruins and caused widespread displacement due to the blockade imposed by Israel.

Lavrov also expressed concern over the escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, urging for de-escalation and peace efforts in the region.

The conflict has raised international outcry, with Israel facing accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice. Despite orders to halt military operations, Israel continues its offensive in Gaza, leading to civilian casualties and humanitarian crises.

The situation in Gaza remains dire, with thousands dead and injured, and many more displaced as a result of the ongoing conflict.
