Russia responds to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim of ending the war in Ukraine “in 24 hours” by highlighting the need to be realistic. Trump’s promise lacked details on how he intends to achieve it, with one reported plan involving ceding territory to Russia.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova emphasized the importance of separating campaign rhetoric from official statements. She also referred to Trump’s previous remarks on conflicts in the Middle East. Ukrainian President Zelensky urged Trump to reveal his plan to prepare for any potential risks.

The selection of JD Vance as Trump’s running mate raised concerns globally, especially in Ukraine due to Vance’s stance on U.S. aid. Zelensky emphasized the need to understand the level of U.S. support in addressing the conflict in Ukraine.
