Armenia to Receive €102 Million Loan from EBRD for Universal Health Insurance Program
Armenia is set to enhance its healthcare system with the help of a €102 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The loan agreement for the “Implementation of a Universal Health Insurance Program” is expected to be signed soon, as announced during a recent government meeting where First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan presented the project.
The loan aims to support the Ministry of Health in implementing comprehensive health insurance, improving primary healthcare quality, enhancing healthcare cost efficiency, and reducing financial barriers for the population to access medical services. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring better healthcare access and affordability for all citizens in Armenia.
With the support of EBRD, Armenia is working towards building a more inclusive and effective healthcare system that prioritizes the well-being of its people. This partnership highlights the country’s commitment to improving public health and creating a sustainable healthcare infrastructure for future generations.
